Sticky Toffee Pudding

Dense, moist sponge pudding topped with a buttery, gooey, hand-made toffee sauce. As this is a pudding as opposed to a sponge cake, the best way to heat it up is by simply popping in the microwave ( for approx. 45 seconds).

Sticky Toffee Pudding is a classic English dessert which was invented in the 1970’s. its traditionally made by soaking dates in boiling water or tea, adding to a sponge base and baking. It is then finished by being covered in a sticky, gooey, rich toffee sauce.

What makes our Sticky Toffee Pudding different:

Well, after we soak the dates, we blend them- we prefer a pudding to be moist, dense and smooth. Then our toffee sauce , which we hand -make from scratch, is wonderfully rich, buttery and gooey.

What is the difference between caramel sauce and toffee sauce?

The main difference in how we make toffee sauce, is that we heat the sugar to 175C, a higher temperature than we do with caramel sauce- not to be attempted without safety googles!

All products are hand-made by pastry chefs made with natural ingredients.
